About this position
We’re seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Partnerships to lead our partnership growth strategy and build a world-class team. This role is perfect for a proven partnership leader who is passionate about girl empowerment and deeply connected within the sports and women’s empowerment ecosystem.
You’ll be responsible for driving all partnership revenue through strategic brand partnerships, team collaborations, and league relationships while inspiring potential partners to join our mission.
Key responsibilities
Partnership Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to drive significant values-driven growth that is aligned with the mission of Rebel Girls
- Build revenue forecasting models and establish KPIs to track performance against ambitious growth targets
- Identify new revenue streams and innovative partnership opportunities within sports, entertainment, and brand sectors
- Lead pricing strategy and contract negotiations for high-value partnerships
Team Building & Leadership
- Build and scale a high-performing partnerships team as revenue generation allows, including partnership managers, account executives, and business development professionals
- Establish partnership team culture, processes, and systems to support rapid growth
- Mentor and develop team members, creating clear career progression paths
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, product, and operations teams
Partnership Development
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major brands, sports teams, and leagues
- Lead pitch presentations and partnership proposals that authentically connect brands with Rebel Girls’ mission
- Structure innovative partnership deals that create mutual value and advance girl empowerment initiatives
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for strategic, high-value accounts
Market Leadership & Innovation
- Stay ahead of industry trends in sports marketing, brand partnerships, and women’s empowerment initiatives
- Represent Rebel Girls at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities
- Develop thought leadership content and speaking opportunities to raise brand awareness
- Pioneer new approaches to partnership marketing that authentically serve our audience
Required Qualifications
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of progressive revenue leadership experience, with at least 5 years in senior management roles
- Proven track record of building revenue teams and scaling partnership programs from early stages
- Deep experience in sports marketing, brand partnerships, or women’s/youth-focused initiatives
- History of consistently meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets
Industry Connections & Expertise
- Extensive network within sports organizations, leagues, teams, and consumer brands
- Strong connections in the women’s empowerment, youth development, or related mission-driven spaces
- Understanding of the sports marketing landscape and current trends in brand partnerships
- Knowledge of youth and family market dynamics and purchasing behaviors
Leadership & Communication Skills
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills with ability to inspire and influence at C-suite level
- Proven ability to build, motivate, and retain high-performing teams
- Strong negotiation skills with experience closing complex, multi-faceted deals
- Authentic passion for girl empowerment and women’s equality that resonates in all interactions
Strategic & Operational Excellence
- Data-driven approach to partnership strategy with strong analytical and forecasting abilities
- Experience with CRM systems, revenue operations, and sales process optimization
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Project management skills with ability to juggle multiple high-priority initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience at mission-driven organizations or social impact companies
- Background in sports, entertainment, or media industries
- Experience with digital marketing partnerships and influencer collaborations
