As UI/UX designer, you will primarily be responsible for our award-winning Rebel Girls App and our company website. Rebel Girls is looking for a UI/UX designer with a strong background in graphic design to support the unique style of our app. 


  • Able to communicate with engineers and understand technical requirements and/or constraints.
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Able to illustrate design ideas using whatever means the design task requires: wireframes, storyboards, user flows, or sitemaps.
  • Design new features and update existing ones to the Rebel Girls app.
  • Gather, understand, and evaluate requirements in collaboration with product manager and lead designer.
  • Maintain a balance of app, website, and brand consistency and creative freshness.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.
  • Lead the creative output of projects through every stage and support any design-related tasks.
  • Assist with creating visuals based on new strategies, brainstorming ideas and developing moodboards to build beautiful and high concept products.
  • Update website or other digital platforms with new standout designs.
  • Help design consumer-focused email communications.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects following established app design guidelines.
  • Create presentations.
  • Able to present work to and interface with and take feedback from multiple stakeholders and revise designs accordingly. This requires professional maturity and a lean-in attitude.


  • 5+ years of UI/UX experience.
  • 5+ years of graphic design experience.
  • Strong design portfolio.
  • Mastery of Figma.
  • Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Deep knowledge of the principles of UI/UX design such as usability, alignment, grid layout, typography, hierarchy and balance.
  • Strong graphic design skills.
  • Ability to work in a team of creative individuals to accomplish a shared vision.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Able to prioritize and work methodically to meet deadlines.
  • Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Desire to come build with a young, high-growth company and high-performance team.
  • Able to gain insights from multiple perspectives and design accordingly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field.
